Kerry, Clarelle (Point England), Donna
I made a home page for a class site for my students to use. Took a while as we colour co-ordinated the subjects (reading - orange, writing - pink, blue - maths). These colours are used in the classroom to help my students to know where to go for their learning.
Clarry taught me how to insert an image onto my site home page (images, search, select).
Using colour pick with Clarell:
Colour pick is now saved in my top icons. click on, hover over the colour you want in the picture on your screen. Cnt C the colour number that comes up, then Cnt V on the page/frame where you want the colour.
Blog posting with Kerry: Learnt how to insert my notes about my learning onto my Miss Simmond's Blog. If your text is running off the page - select the text (highlight), go up the top to Tx icon, remove, formatting.
Fundamental link (week 6 and week 7 notes) have our inquiry labels to add to my blog posts.
Make sure I have a title for every blog post.

Hi Nikki,
ReplyDeleteI loved meeting you on Wednesday and seeing you leap at the challenge to create a site for your kids. I also liked the way you used colours from your header to create your buttons. What is your next step for your site and when do you think you will start using it in the classroom? I can't wait to see your finished site.
It was lovely meeting you, Clarelle.
Kia ora Nikki. Hurray! Your Blog is up and running. Well done. Good to read about some of your learning on the Digital Fluency Intensive. I remain delighted you have undertaken this professional development. I hope the last two weeks are beneficial. Remember - it is not how you start the race, but how you finish. :)
