Sharing discussion: Youtube clip “Who do you share your personal details with?" Parody song. Great clip to share with older students around cyber safety.
The future job market is going to need students who can use technology. (share, connect, problem solving, computational thinking).

Blogger, new post, photos, chose file, get out of DC card on word, click on photos so they are highlighted, add, selected, give a title, go to bottom or top of blog and add text.

Use scratch to show a story of belonging. Scratch junior works on chromebooks and IPads.
Good for kids to learn about direction and programming


Learnt another way to Screenshot:
Go to magnifying glass bottom left, search snip it, new (up top), make a box around the picture you want, then insert onto the  doc you want it on.

Learnt how to:
Use Google drawing to make MANA sheet. Google drive - File, new, more (to find drawings).
Shared my MANA sheet with Lisa (our Te Reo adviser and my Principal).


Made an E.E project with sound and wand/dot (to follow text).


Learnt how to add a macron to a word in Te Reo: Bottom right (change from english to Maori), top left on keyboard `~ then do the letter you need for the macron.


To upload a photo from an i.pad (I.pad 22): click on photo (in photos) to get a tick on the photo, drive, upload, put into i.pad photos folder in my drive.


You can use any work from other teachers on Hapara. Hapara, workspaces, public work spaces, make a copy.

Want to learn:
  • Relearning voice typing
  • Copying a small part of a link so people don’t have to read a whole reading.
  • Blogging (my class blog)
  • Adding videos to my assembly doc/slideshow
  • Making a word doc into a google doc


Learnt how to use a google form
Drive, new, more,   use edit (pencil) to create, view (eye) to look at what you have made
Use images to add to doc and youtube clips to add clips.
When it’s been shared to others you can go to responses and see results. Can also go to green box with white cross (top right) to view results in sheets.


Learnt how to use a google sheets
Google, new, sheets  can make graphs when you have data/figures in the cells, use function key (top right)


Ideas: learn about using google drawing to make a poster, then upload it to google drive.
          Learn how to do a screenshot.

  • Change settings for sharing docs
advanced, private, change to (anyone with the link)

When you are making a copy of docs shared with you, always put your name on it. If you are sharing a doc always put you name first so it shows up on the top tab with your name first.


Put your docs into folders.
